To start a new file (line) :

Click on "new" button (no. 1) to start creating a new file, where each file contains one line. Follow the help of "
new file" dialog box.
After sitting the properties of the new line, start to input your data, such as dose, number of alive and dead individuals.
Click on add button (8) then input next replicate until finishing all replicates of first dose. Then input the next dose and so on.
Zero dose will be considered as control and the software will use it to correct all treatments using Abbott’s formula. Control rows will be marked with letter “C” and highlighted with light green color.
You can write your treatment name in its field (7). That can help you when you save and reopen this file. You can also save any notes like experiment date, target pest or any other notes to be attached with the file, use "Notes sheet", click on button no. 6.
You can edit any replicate by double click on its row  or select it then click on button no. (9).
It is recommended to save your data in a file so you can find and use them any time latter or to be able to be compared with other treatments  in comparison studies.
After Finnish adding all treatments, click on "calculate" button (no. 15) to calculate your data.

A file can be opened by clicking on "open" button (2). So you can edit and recalculate it.
It is also possible to import data from text or excel file. Please read
Import data help. This facility is useful when you need to collect data from another one doesn’t have LdP Line software.

  • The software can’t calculate the data if any of your treatments revealed less than 0.1% or more than 99.9% response.
     

1 New file Start a new file (line).
2 Open file Open previous saved file.
3 Save file Save the current file.
4 Import data Import data from text or excel file.
5 Options Display options dialog box (allow you to change some of the file properties).
6 Notes sheet Display the notes sheet of current file which allow you to save some notes about your experiment to be attached with the file. (like date, target pest, tested material ,... or any other information)
7 Treatment name A field to write and present treatment name.
8 Add date Move the data from input cells to the table.
9 Edit row Allow you to edit the selected row.
10 Delete row Delete the selected row.
11 Relative toxicity Allow you to make comparison study among previous saved files (lines).
12 Reduction% correction Allow you to make Reduction% correction according to Abbott, Schneider-Orelli, Sun-Shepard and Henderson & Tilton formulas.
13 Probits conversions Present probits conversions dialog box which can convert responded % to probit and reverse. It is also provide working probits and weighting coefficient.
14 Fit line Allow you to make interpolation or extrapolation of any point on the log dos-probit line according to previously known 2 points or one point & slope.
15 Calculate Calculate current data and display results.
